What is our faculty saying about working at our school?

"I had a great two years - I really enjoyed working in this environment -- I felt I was able to do so much more with students than I could at my previous school."

"I have never worked with a group of teachers that cared so much about students!"

"I felt I was heard -- I had a voice -- I was heard more here at GNCS from the administration and my colleagues than at any previous school worked at."

"My ideas were not as valued in my other school as they are here."

GNCS actively recruits highly motivated, well-educated, passionate leaders.

For many teachers, teaching exists as a practice in isolation. GNCS teachers, however, actively engage in conversations about student learning, curriculum development, assessment, school operations, and student behavior. GNCS teachers are active members of the school operation and culture; they are decision-makers and leaders. Programmatically, staff collegiality is valued through the school schedule. GNCS teachers are not simply required to engage in collegial work, but also provided with proper prep time and meeting time. While a collegial staff environment may be difficult to quantify, this does not render it any less important. GNCS has maintained over a 90% staff retention rate since its inception.
